HONGSHENG'S Galvalume  is a highly corrosion resistant coated steel with the addition of aluminium (passivation protection) to zinc, with a composition of 55% aluminium, 43.5% zinc and 1.5% silicon, which combines the barrier protection and extended durability of aluminium with the galvanic protection of zinc.

 

Galvalume has excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion. It's corrosion resistance is 2-4 times that of galvanized steel, and has the high temperature corrosion resistance of aluminium, smooth surface and good appearance.

Galvalume:  A better material choice

 

The Galvalume(aluminum-zinc coated) steel containing 55% aluminum was developed by Bethlehem Steel Corporation of the United States and has been officially put on the market since 1972. Its core lies in applying an aluminum-zinc-silicon alloy to the steel sheet surface through a continuous hot-dip process, combining the durability of aluminum and the galvanic protection properties of zinc, and has gained industry recognition with its excellent performance.

Grade DX51D is a machine folding grade and is suitable for simple craft forming work as well as for the production of simple profile shapes.
