In June 2025, Africa's crude steel production was 1.7 million tons, up 3.0% year-on-year; Asia and Oceania's crude steel production was 112.9 million tons, down 6.2% year-on-year; the European Union's (27) crude steel production was 10.4 million tons, down 8.2% year-on-year; crude steel production in other European countries was 3.3 million tons, down 8.4% year-on-year; Middle East crude steel production of 4.3 million tons, down 4.9% year-on-year; North America crude steel production of 8.7 million tons, up 1.2% year-on-year; Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine crude steel production of 6.7 million tons, down 8.8% year-on-year; and South America crude steel production of 3.5 million tons, up 1.3% year-on-year.
